Welcome to the second largest island of France. Nicknamed the “luminous island”, Oléron is re-knowned for its fabulous sandy beaches looking onto the famous Fort Boyard. Amongst the many activities, outings on foot or bike, or boat trips may well be on your agenda. The picturesque town centre of Saint Georges is just under a mile from the campsite, and the shops, bars and restaurants of St. Pierre are to be found one mile away. The campsite Le Domaine d’Oléron is ideally located between St. Georges and St. Pierre and offers 3 hectares of spacious pitches, many of which are under the shade of oak trees. Close to the forest of Les Saumonards, the campsite is 1 ½ miles from the beach, and 2 miles from the local port, shops and restaurants.
